Hi, I'm Louise, a wife, a mom of three, and the founder of Defiant Moth.
For years I had a corporate job and kept quiet while the world outside felt like it was falling apart. Reproductive rights were stripped away, immigrant families were targeted, and Trump and the MAGA movement made cruelty feel normal.
In 2024, I quit.
I look at my three kids and think about the country they're inheriting. I want them to know that kindness isn't weakness, that no human is illegal, and that their mom didn't stay quiet. So with my husband by my side, I started Defiant Moth.
Why a moth? Moths are easy to overlook, but they keep flying toward the light no matter how dark it gets. That felt like all of us who are tired, angry and still hopeful.
Every tee is a small act of defiance you can wear to school pickup, the polls or the protest, and a way to start the conversations that matter.
What we believe in:
